Our History
Partnership Housing of Southwest Alabama (PHSWA) was previously a program of Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Alabama. PHSWA is a private, non-profit organization formed in January 2016 after realizing the need in our community for safe, decent and affordable rental options for low-income families in south Alabama. PHSWA provides nearly 50 families with stable affordable rental housing each month.
Our Mission
Partnership Housing of Southwest Alabama mission is to serve the needs of low-income families in mobile county by providing affordable rentals. PHSWA increases the availability of decent, safe, and affordable housing and improves the communities quality of life and economic viability.
PHSWA is a unique organization that provides housing stability through affordable long-term rental choices. Affordable housing plays a crucial role in providing stability for poor families. PHSWA seeks to offer housing security in our community through affordable rental homes options for low-income families in need.
